Jackson Hole is nestled just south of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. In the winter, the elk refuge just outside of town, fills with near 10,000 elk. The Tetons offer spectacular climbing and mountaineering.
During the summer, a Wild West shootout is held in the town square to the Rodeo on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Just walking on the wooden sidewalks around the elk-antler arches of the town square makes you feel like you're in the old west.
Jackson Hole offers rodeos with cowboy competition with bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, and much more. Jackson's Chuckwagon offers shows which vary from musical (and funny) shows to reenactments complete with Cowboys and Indians.
